You don’t stop laughing because you grow old, you grow old because you stopped laughing

New Year ~ New Day. Moving forward, never stopping, always growing. Tomorrow begins my 46th year. I don’t do well with the unknown, but that is really all there is right? My path is curving and confusing, but I push ahead.

Two more weeks until my job ends. I haven’t had any calls back on jobs I have applied for. The economy seems to be at a standstill. We received notice from SSDI that Mr. Vixen’s third appeal will be heard by an administrative law judge on the 7th. I wish I could do more than just hope, wish and cross my fingers. He recovered pretty well from his surgery on the 19th, until a few days ago when it started doing the same thing it did before the surgery. So possibly he tore his meniscus again. We have a call in to the doctor since Tuesday, but he hasn’t called back yet.

We had a wonderful visit with my mom and step-dad over Christmas. There were many wonderful moments. I finished the girls pajamas just an hour before we were set to read the Night Before Christmas.

Ladybug got her cast off on New Year’s Eve. They were able to see the break clearly now that it has healed. It was very close to her growth plate though, so they will take x-rays every six months to make sure it has no further effect.

It was a very Wii Christmas. The big hits were Guitar Hero World Tour (I am the world’s greatest ‘easy’ fake drummer EVER.) Watching Bear, Fishboy and Ladybug do Dance, Dance Revolution was highly entertaining. And Wii Fit, well, that stuff is just hard! I had fun playing Monopoly on it also. We have a stack of more Wii games that we haven’t even gotten to yet.

For now just a few pictures from Christmas Eve, opening of the pajamas and reading of the book…
