“A grandparent is old on the outside but young on the inside.”
Last night when Butterball and Ladybug came to visit Grandma had a little art project for them. We made puppets. Butterball made a bear and Ladybug made a lion. We had fun and they loved them. No glue required, no cutting, just peel and stick. ![]()
Although, I will admit Butterball was a little distracted by the candy corn Papa had given her and could hardly concentrate on all the picture taking with such a distraction in her other hand.
In the end I managed to get them alone with their puppets:
And yes, Butterball is loving on her “beer”
I tell you, having grandkids is the best.
Clicking on any of these pics will allow you to have larger viewing of my granddaughters’ loveliness.
Update on the post below…..Remember the apple cinnamon scented concentrated fragrance oil (craft dept at W*lmart) that I talked about in the original post? Well I poured what was left of that bottle over the top of the pinecones last night. And as of now they are still smelling all sweet and strong. I admit, it’s more of an apple-y cinnamon scent than a real cinnamon scent, but at least the house smells nice.

Those are really cute puppets. Looks like a fun craft. I like your new blog header.

If it makes you feel any better the pine cones I bought don’t have as strong of scent as usual either.

I’m hoping someday God will bless me with grandkids and then I’ll share this joy. Love the sweet looks on each of their faces with the puppets!!

That looks like such a great craft project. And from your description, it even sounds like something I could do.
Your new header is wonderful! Love it. And those crafty little puppets are great too. We did leaf animals on paper last week. I felt totally like the “good” mom since I actually coordinated a home project……

That sounds like so much fun! Mum has a magnet on her fridge that says “I childproofed the house, but they keep getting in!” but really she loves to do craft projects with her grandkids. Have you taught yours how to make paper dolls yet?
