Twas The Tuesday Before Christmas

And not much was happening. I sit on the sidelines of blogs and twitter and watch everyone scurry and bake, plan and decorate. I did make cookies the other night. These pumpkin cookes were the best things I’ve ever eaten in my life. You can find the recipe for them over here: http://www.thesouthernfamily.net. Go. Make them. Be warned, your life may be changed, they are that good.

I am ready for the holidays, since I don’t really have anything I to do. I am cooking, but that is all. I am pretty ready for 2009 to be done and over; not that I have very high expectations for next year. But, bah humbug anyway.

I had a terrible migraine last night. The likes of which I have only had twice before in my life. Those two times I went to the ER. It was that bad. Just had to ride this one out, but now (thanks to Lesley) if it happens again I have something that seems to help! Today I just feel like I get run over by a mack truck.

Looking forward to just hanging with the kids and babes over the holidays. This is the last Christmas of this decade. My how the decades start whizzing by when you have kids, right?

If I don’t get back here before Friday, I wish you all a wonderful holiday season for whatever faith or non-faith you are, enjoy your family and (hopefully) some vacation days. May God bless you all for the love and support you have shown me and my family these last months. Know that I appreciate each and every one of you very much.

  2. Vic,
May you have a wonderful time with the family and create many, many beautiful memories. Those are the best gifts of all and they are priceless! We too, are having a more simple Christmas simply because of all that has happened these past few weeks, we just didn’t get it together. We will finally be decorating our tree tonight when I get off work!

Anyway, you are a beautiful spirit, I value our friendship and I wish you all the best for this Christmas and the New Year.
