Pacis is a latin word which means ‘of peace’. The word itself was created to describe Pax, the roman goddess of peace. Luna (which most people recognize) is the latin word for ‘moon’. (from lunapacis.org)

This is so beautiful. Thanks. I just read a blog post by the mom of a little girl dying of Tay-Sachs Disease. The mom said she is taking in every smell and sound and look of her little girl, trying to etch these things into her memory. It broke my heart. She’s a good mom with a beautiful child, but we can’t control these things. So very sad. I was looking for your Thursday Thirteen but I stopped here because it’s exactly what I needed.
