Take A Movie Moment
As I recall, the very first luxury we gave up as new parents (eons ago) was going out to a movie. Besides the cost of tickets, there were now babysitters to pay for! (and find) Besides, who could find the spare time or energy anymore? As our kids got older we saved our pennies to take in family movies, which ain’t cheap for a family of five, so they were rare times. And thus a (bad) habit was formed. Even now, with a nearly empty nest, Mr. Vixen and I rarely see movies in a theater. We wait until they come out on DVD and watch in the comfort of our own home, on our time with our very inexpensive homemade popcorn. We save trips to the big screen for big movies. We consider big movies to be films that are so graphically fantastic you simply must see them on the big screen with big sound. Movies like The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, The 300, Transformers, and so on. Since the economy has hit us so hard, we have had to give those up too. But all that’s about to change!
