It’s Friday. And there is a lot going on. Got the ‘inside’ scoop on the bank robbery yesterday…will share soon. It is really awful because the freaking, felonious a$$wipe thief got away with the money.
On a brighter note? Legoland with the grandkids and Mr. Vixen on Saturday.
So the popular demand part? Why, Chloe kitty of course! I can’t get pictures that actually catch her cuteness…she is too quick. But here she is right after she stole my crochet project: “What yarn, Mom? I don’t know what you are talking about!” Wink, wink.
And the winner is????
Drum roll, please? Anyone? Have a drum? Play your fingers on the table top? If it’s not Lily or Will (who entered half a million times) it will be a miracle:
Random Numbers* 15
* This table of 1 random numbers was produced according to the following specifications: Numbers were randomly selected from within the range of 1 to 49. Duplicate numbers were not allowed.
Okay, number 15! I am back from vacation, got home late last night…went up for work at 5 ‘hell o’clock so figure out who you are all by yourself! Hah, just kidding. The winner is….
Wait, I have to go count. Ahhhh, no miracles tonight. If you and your husband enter my contest 43 times out of 49 entries? You might win….

“blade, blade, blade, blade”
((like the dog from Dr. Doolittle when the dog is saying “tree, tree, tree”
Whew, that was a great contest. I should go on vacation more often!
Thank you all for playing. Trust me, I have much much more to catch you up on! RolyPoly’s introduction to most of the family, Int’l Pirate Day, Federal Penitentiaries and Condoleeza Rice! Bet you can’t wait! But work, she is a wicked slave driver, so you will have to hang on the edges of your chairs (or walkers or high chairs depending on my demographic for the day). I miss you all so much! Work is okay except for the BLOCKING THE INTERNET thing. Sigh.

We took our newest foundling to the vet yesterday morning. She was just so tiny and weak and the swelling in her eye got worse. A small fortune later? Both eyes stained: no injuries, drops given. Fecal smear: No parasites. Antibiotics given for upper respiratory infection. Age approximation: 3-4 weeks so give bottle feedings or wet, stinky food if she’ll take it. Fleas? Way too numerous to count, slightly anemic because of their dastardly ways. Flea killer found which is acceptable for young age that works within 30-60 minutes but only stays in blood stream 24 hours. Fleas sloughed off in mass quantities. Cleaned up and happy. She is THE most tiny thing. You can’t believe it! Only .64 pound. Just starving. But eating left and right to try and make up for it.
Today I came home, give her meds and eye drops and she wanted to play! Tried to eat the camera. So I will share a couple (more than…) pictures of her. This is what happens on my blog when new babies come into my life. ( you simply must click on them to see her full size! Chloe loves being admired.)
This is Chloe. She is approximately? 4 weeks old. Fishboy found her in the street. Or rather she found him and claimed him. Starving, one eye swollen and filled with guck, anemic and exhausted she brushed against his leg while he was getting stuff out of his car. Mr. Vixen tells us he saw some children running up and down the street this morning throwing what appeared to be a small stuffed animal into the air. Now that he sees Chloe, he thinks that it was her they tossed around.
While it is true that I am allergic to cats, I can be around them some. But when I look into her little blue eyes and feel her bones through her skin, I know we will help her. And love her. Poor little thing. She is warm, clean, safe and we are trying some bottle feeding now. Sleep tight, sweet Chloe.
