For Today, September 28, 2009
Outside my window… Mr. Vixen is doing Bear’s brakes
I am thinking… I need to go cook that last loaf of zucchini bread
I am thankful for… Mr. Vixen’s ability to fix cars
I am wearing… tan slacks and a purple shirt
I am remembering… that I have two books overdue to the library
I am creating… a felt story board for Ladybug and Butterball
I am going… no where fast
I am reading… Afoot and Afield in San Diego, for hike ideas if it ever cools off
I am hoping… Mr. Vixen can fix Bear’s bearings too, since I just heard him say they are bad
On my mind… when will little Abby wake up so I can play with her? (I am babysitting a six month old this week!)
Noticing that… I never did my post about our trip to the aquarium, I need to do that
Pondering these words… It is autumn; not without
But within me is the cold.
Youth and spring are all about;
It is I that have grown old.
Birds are darting through the air,
Singing, building without rest;
Life is stirring everywhere,
Save within my lonely breast.
There is silence: the dead leaves
Fall and rustle and are still;
Beats no flail upon the sheaves,
Comes no murmur from the mill.
~ Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
From the kitchen… French Dip Sandwiches with potato cakes
Around the house… there is a baby here!!!!
One of my favorite things… baby smiles
A few plans for the rest of the week: babysitting
From my picture journal…
Manzanita from last weekends camping trip
