The holidays are over and, truth be told, this time of year is always a bit of a let down for me. I know that as an adult I should be thrilled the stress of preparing, entertaining, traveling and general craziness is over; but I think I am truly a kid a heart. I spend months getting worked up for the holidays and then I blink and they are over…..and I am left with a slightly empty feeling.
As a parent, I never could quite put my finger on just what was wrong. I thought it was the post-holiday stress and my kids driving me insane until school started back up. Now I know, I was having the same feelings as them and I just didn’t know it. Now that I am old (?) and more in touch with my real feelings (?), I was pretty darned excited when I found out that Disney On Ice, Let’s Celebrate would be here in late January. What a great way to keep a bit of excitement going through the tough return to ‘regular’ life for me and the grands! The girls have already watched this video numerous times while informing who each and every character is and the fire from the ice seems to be a huge excitement!
We’ll be there on January 26th, I hope you can bring your little ones and join all their (and your) Disney friends (at a discount, no less)! Come join the party by clicking on the website and using code: MOM for $5.00 off the $16 and $22 tickets on select performances! http://www.ticketmaster.com/venueartist/360477/1349262
