Fate chooses our relatives, we choose our friends

Covered the gamut
From thieves to job interviews
And dead sew machines
You, bandit, beware
Kismet and karma follow
Your fate has been sealed
I charmed at the job
My audience surely stunned
Hope they felt the same
Friends I’ve never met
Willing to go on a limb
So stitching I go
I’ve already learned
No one has a perfect life
But good friends come close

How was your week? And how will your weekend be?

“It is not how abundant nor how considerable our catch be, but rather to the sport and manner in which our quarry, the noble trout, is angled.”

“I saw a star, I reached for it, and I missed. So I accepted the sky.”

I took a weekend
To lie down and gaze above
Reconnecting me

All human wisdom is summed up in two words – wait and hope

Memory Garden

We miss you daily
Flowers bright like your soul
A place to reflect

Memory garden
Not healing our hearts
Instead calming them

You belong with us
Nature reminds me you’re near
I water with tears

“True individual freedom cannot exist without economic security and independence. People who are hungry and out of a job are the stuff of which dictatorships are made.”

The fear surfaces

Amongst my positive thoughts

What is happening?

Economy failed?

Who really understands this

Rhetoric is heard

I believed in self

Experience and my drive

Don’t seem to matter

A great depression

Is that on the horizon?

I don’t know what to think

“And, after all, what is a lie? ‘Tis but the truth in a masquerade”

Inspired this week by OSIbadge‘s prompt of

Removing the mask
Of the life I was caught in
Liberating me
Behind the disguise
Was much hope, love and laughter
Released last night – Free
